Sankarewa
A quick warm up exercise to introduce ideas of listening to ourselves and listening to others. The sankarewa exercise is to enable you to discover something about yourself. This exercise is a creative writing exercise and will require you to be in a quiet space.
Time to complete: 5 minutes
Step 1: Get a pen and paper
Step 2: Write Sankarewa on the top of the paper.
Step 3: Take a moment to think about an experience you have had in the last year.
Step 4: Write about your experience without stopping for one minute. If you get stuck, simply write ‘I am writing’ until you can find more words to describe your experience.
Step 5: When you have finished, take a moment to read your writing and reflect on whether your writing has taught you something about yourself.
