Exercise 1 – Empty Chair

We begin this module by thinking about our family and local community. The empty chair exercise is an exercise that will get you to reflect on how your relationship with others.

Step 1: Think of someone who knows you well and who you like.

Step 2:  Close your eyes and reflect on how this person regards you and how they would describe you.

Step 3: Get a pen and paper.

Step 4:   Write a letter from the perspective of the family member or friend you have chosen describing how they regard you.
