Using this website

This site is run by the University of Lincoln. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this site. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate the site using just a keyboard
  • listen to this site using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1  AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Issues with technology

  • We have not tested navigating this site with speech recognition software.
  • It’s not possible for users to modify text spacing or line height.
  • It is not possible to change the colours and contrast, font or text size on this site.
  • We have assessed these issues and the University is working in conjunction with the software provider, Blackboard, to continue to make improvements.

How we tested this website

This website was last tested, week commencing 29th July 2019. The test was carried out by the Digital Education and Student Life team.

We used this approach to deciding on an approach to testing. We tested:

  • The main website platform, available at modules.lincoln.ac.uk including login, all main tabs and exemplar lessons.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

The University continues to work closely with the software provider, CampusPress, to monitor accessibility on this site and make improvements as required.
